Find A Great Hairstylist

It is not easy to find the hairstylist who understands exactly what you want to do to your hair. But the following simple tips will help you to get what you want:
  1. Check out for visual clues. If you run into someone who has the same hair texture as yours, and with a great haircut style or color, just ask him or her for the stylist details. No one will turn you down, cause call women love to be complimented on her hair and you will certainly make her way.
  2. Test your new stylist. If you are not sure of a new hairstylist, start with a trim or a hairdryer first before committing yourself to anything else radical.
  3. Pick the right time for both you and your hairstylist. Book your appointment earlier if there is a big event when you are under pressure. Similarly, do ask the receptionist when is a good time for your consultation, if they are not receptive to your request, don't go ahead because you already have your answer...

I once went to a salon and asked for a trim, no more than half of an inch off. When she was done she had cut off 5 inches! I tell all of the people that cut my hair this and they always seem to listen more carefully. :)

Hair is a reflection of yourself, it is all about communication. Hair styling is a collabrative effort, of hair type, face shape and style you have and what will best create an up to date look that compliments. I work at snapdragon studio salon over in the n central phoenix area. (5th st and camelback) I suggest finding the stylist that can best give you the look that fits you. It is about making you look and feel good.

i have learned that great communication is the key to a great haircut, and color. i always listen to the client, and then repeat back to them to make sure we are on the same page. I had a anew client visit the salon the other day, and she stressed to me, that she has been to alot of salons , and never gets what she wants!!!! i gave her 100' of my attention, and listened to her, and then repeated back, and she loved her hair!!!

I've been a hairdresser for a little more than 6 years and when the customer is done saying what they want, I will ALWAYS repeat to the cutomer what I understood.    I have gotten many compliments on using this procedure.    If you find a stylist that does not use this technique you might proceeve this as the stylist not really knowing what you want.
