Note: Some guys prefer a squared-up crown.
- Top: brush hair up and back. Cut guide across front with comb flat on base.
Note: The front 9one to two inches) is longest part of flattop. |

|
- Cut front to back, each cut is width of comb.
Note: Stay at same level with each cut.
- Cut flat strop down middle of head. Then use wax product to brush sides straight up.
- Use clipper-over-comb technique to flatten corners.
- Smoothly run clippers across top to cut any extra hairs.
Note: Brace clippers to hold them steady. |
|
|
|
|
|
- To polish whole haircut: remove any clipper lines or dark spots with thinning shears and thin taper comb.
- With finishing clippers trim sideburns, around ears and back neckline.
Finishing note: the difficulty of the flattop cut is putting a square on an oval. So, think box.

I am an induvidual and like to state that.
So with the new punk styles I see shaved women, halfshaved women, etc
They dare to shw theit independence !
I went to renowned barbr shp last Decenber and had e man cut my hair into a great flattop. Also called brushcut or boxcut. All are a little different but all are derived from the old crewcut.
Just a little goo to keep my hair staight up and I get all the stares!
I think I look sharp and non trendy.
I have it touched up every two or three weeks.
