1. Comb and part hair to fall naturally. Starting in back, cut hair chin length to frame face. Cut in three-inch sections, check guides. Section hair one inch behind ear. Continue cutting straight toward front. Repeat on opposite side.
2. When connecting sides and cutting over ear, use less tension as hair will jump up over ear. Repeat opposite side. Continuously check length.
3. Connect lengths in front and repeat opposite side.
4. To create a softer look around face, angle front beginning from nose to ears. Connect sides. Important: continue to check length. Start at top with three-inch sections (middle of eyebrows). Cut two inches off length, this gives hair more movement.

5. Split middle section in half as guideline, continue by cutting half-inch layers.
6. Check length of whole section. Blend together.
7. Section hair from guideline. Pull perpendicular to head. Connect to sides. Continue this technique around head. Important: to keep sides same length, turn client’s head toward you as you work around head shape. Section hair from previous guide. Continue to pull hair perpendicular, working around head.
8. Finish with fifth section by taking small section from previous guide and making perpendicular cut.

9. Section hair two inches in middle and cut hair one-fourth inch-doing basic undercut.
10. To blend hair in front, remove corners. Take off little corners. But keep guideline, giving hair more texture for movement when it falls forward.
11. Blow-dry, starting at root for more volume,
12. Thin the dried hair by slicing for a more pieced look.

13. Continue, slicing hair, through front and sides
14. Finish Before Styling
