1. Separate back from front, starting behind ear. Outline with razor. Check length to insure that it’s even.
2. Establish length in front. Make connection between side and back. Repeat on opposite side. Check both sides before continuing with bangs.
3. Outline bangs from corner of eyebrow to corner of eyebrow.
4. Soften angle between bangs and length. Beginning at back, start layers three inches from bottom. Just cut top layers while maintaining length, continue around perimeter. To see balance of layers, have client shake her head.

5. Check layers by take center section across top. Use exterior angle (shorter to longer). Important: Use thinning shears to keep line broken and shaggy.
6. To blend layers from top to sides, sue exterior triangle technique on sides. Follow same angle around entire perimeter.
7. To lighten around face, take small section off hairline. Lightly razor around face. Repeat on opposite side.
8. Make alight connection between front that was just shortened and the side, use exterior angle from short to long.

9. Blow-dry hair.
10. Check balance of layers on dry head.
11. Go back with razor to lighten bangs.
12. Continue to lighten around face and perimeter, check length and balance.

13. To lighten crown, hold hair at perpendicular. Re-balance anything heavy with thinning shears.
