I want cut a new hairstyle, Cut it hort or jut get a trim?

I have a long face and a high forehead. My hair reaches past the middle of my back and it is naturally curly. Please help! I want it to be manageable and easy to do, but not so short as to make me look heavier than I am. What are some stylish new hairstyles that may look good on a 25 year old? Any suggestions?
