Hey
friends. Does anyone know how to I suppose "make" or style emo hair?
I'm dislike emo music with a passion but I really like the hairstyle.
Okay, so my hair is thick and doesn't have any curls at all and when it
grows, it grows outward and makes my hair look like a bush. so I keep
it short all the time and that’s a problem because I heard you have to
grow your hair long in order for it to look emo so can someone please
help me? Thanks fellas.
"emo" hair is not a real
style... basically let your hair get long... like down to your nose or
so, then go somewhere and tell them that you want to look EMO, even
though Indie and Hipster kids look the same (kinda just messy hair)
most people like to call it Emo... Although Emo kids do everything from
short buzzed hair all the way up to long locks with highlights in heir
face... I say just do your hair how you like it... if you don't like
the music why would you want to look like the people that play/enjoy
it? seems pretty illogical to me, but it's your life.
Dye it jet black.
Dye it blond in the back.
Gel the front of your hair downwards.
Then take the back/blond part and spike it.
It
looks like you're going to have to find a way to make your hair
thinner/easier to style. Most emo hair tends to just fall straight
down, not really sticking out. I've got me some emo-type hair, so I
guess I should know.

Well i dyed my hair UBER DARK BROWN, and i have bangs, and its long. I just need to know how you get your hair to stay up like a "bush" And i prefer not to call it an "emo" hair because emo isnt really a style. Punk more like it? :]

Yeah, dyeing your hair jet black is usually a good step towards getting the emo hair - then you can also add some bangs/ fringes or highlights.

I've been thinking a lot and I want emo haircut.My hair is not very long, it is not curly and it grows not very fast.I would like to know exactly how to do an emo haircut from the start.

Um...i have curly hari well more like wavy but the thing is if ur emo and u wanna look like one the best way to show it is by being yourself
emo girls even curl their hair sometimes so dont be afraid to let it be curly im only....12 and i love being emo i got so pissed of being called emo before but i noticed that its just a lifestyle like any other and i eneded up accepting that i was emo for one reason or the other.
Being emo is not only the looks, fashion, or music....its feelings and what you are.
So dont try to change only cuz u wanna look emo just let ur curls be and have fun, dye ur hair
mayb and be urself.

i don't get you guys sometimes i think emo means emotionless- means there's no reason on living but dead woudn'd change anythink so there are some people that are kinda emo cuz they still can bear the pain of living thats why depressed-bad mood got that?

U Know What ... It Really Annoys Me When People Assume EMOS Are Always sad. To Be Emo Is To Have Strong EMOTIONS!!! And Sadness Is Not The Only Emotion...For Example I Get Upset Easy Yeah... well...you will have to invest at least $40 on a straightening iron.
You will also have to budget $10 for a product that prevents your hair from getting damaged from straightening.
Another few bucks for BLACK hair dye, then some Nutrogena TRIPLE SHINE SERUM.
This is the official emo conditioner...lol

um.. its easy.. all you do is like.. get it cut sorta shorter in the back.. then get a straightener and make sure its stick straight.. then you want A LOT of side bangs.. then all you do is spike the back up.. and you want it sorter in the back so then you can get this look.. and i mean.. if people go OFF on you just because you want your hair like this.. forget them because who cares if its NOT a style.. why does it matter? but yeah.. thats all you really gotta do..

You guys are so sad.
Whats so bad about 'emo'hair, and techniqually it is emo hair because what else would you call it?!
It has just been adapted into the modern world.
You hair style says a lot about who you are, so it does matter what you hair looks like, whether it be big and crazy like your personality, or plain and simple.
And if we can't say emo.. Surely we cabn't use chav, gangsta, greb etc how do you think they came around? Face it people Emo is a style, it's a unique style that reflects a persons personality, and even if it starts off as trying to follow a trend, you always find yourself by experimenting with different styles.
So please can we just accept that?

dudes... wtf exactly is this?! Emo?!? To tell you, I've been called "emo" 'cause of my darn hair. And hell no! not "emo". Im just a hardcore teenage girl :p. If you want to have your hair like that, just get the damn scissors and cut it into small layers and spike it up from the back!!! Seriously, lots of people judge other people from their looks and not their personalities!! That's what makes me piss off!

if you want your hair like that and get called poser or whatever they are gonna call you, then it was your fault. I like having my hair in different colors =D! no, not a "punk". Actually, I dont really label myself. I just think Im hardcore lmao XD.
And if you think having "emo" hair is popular, well it's not. Maybe you want your hair like that so you can fit in. If that's so, don't even go there! And there is no such thing as a "scene"! Gosh... I feel like smacking all of you who think you are one of them -__-. Well, Im sick of this bull-caca so ima leave this conversation..maybe come back and read other replies and laugh my ****off how you guys fight over this "emo-Sh*t" =D
