Hey
friends. Does anyone know how to I suppose "make" or style emo hair?
I'm dislike emo music with a passion but I really like the hairstyle.
Okay, so my hair is thick and doesn't have any curls at all and when it
grows, it grows outward and makes my hair look like a bush. so I keep
it short all the time and that’s a problem because I heard you have to
grow your hair long in order for it to look emo so can someone please
help me? Thanks fellas.
"emo" hair is not a real
style... basically let your hair get long... like down to your nose or
so, then go somewhere and tell them that you want to look EMO, even
though Indie and Hipster kids look the same (kinda just messy hair)
most people like to call it Emo... Although Emo kids do everything from
short buzzed hair all the way up to long locks with highlights in heir
face... I say just do your hair how you like it... if you don't like
the music why would you want to look like the people that play/enjoy
it? seems pretty illogical to me, but it's your life.
Dye it jet black.
Dye it blond in the back.
Gel the front of your hair downwards.
Then take the back/blond part and spike it.
It
looks like you're going to have to find a way to make your hair
thinner/easier to style. Most emo hair tends to just fall straight
down, not really sticking out. I've got me some emo-type hair, so I
guess I should know.

hey... my hair grows outwards too... if u find a solution to growing it downwards can u inform me too... i look like a freak when it grows long and im the only one in my cl****with this kinda hair condition...

omg. Thank you so much for saying that. I totally agree. I listen to metal, screamo, techno, emo(practically anything), but I am actually very preppy.
I try not to use labels when describing myself, because I can fit into so many different categories. People can have many different sides to them. xD

the key to an emo hair cut is simple... think realy layered and wildish... btw this is a tip for girls only... if u have shoulder length hair... straighten it all and just fluff it all up... u need a teasing comb some hairspray and get some got2b playfull... if u have long hair use the same products... first tet it layered im talking like 7 diff layers... straighten the bottom layers then take some got2b playful and rub it in ut top layers only... take the teasing comb and teas the top layers starting at the roots then take ur hairspray and coat ur hair with it and vwalla

OK,,First thing first a must have for all "emo",or ppl tryin to wanna look like us it dont bother me really its ur life not mine.
1.Iron straighner,(I tend to use ghd,Ceramic plated)
2.Scissors
3.wash hair out every day,
to thin ur hair i tend to use shavers,And layer it through,Most easily is cut the back part off so it will grow the deisred lenth and fall how u want.leave the two side bangs and the front.just play wid ur hair and have fun..remember though,,Cut less not more,cause you cant instantly grow that hair so chop slowly. i have straight...kinda thick hair thats a little past my shoulders...i really like emo hair but i dont know what to do with it......i absolutely love colors though so i am willing to dye it....SOMEONE HELP ME...or like email me my email is babii_Phoebe21@yahoo.com

hmmm...even people who have thick hairs can have emo hairstyle...some emo's i know have thick hair and they look cool...my hair is not so thick though..u can style your hair anyway u want it..my cuzn has curly hair...but she dyed it like yellowish brown or so..then she also have bangs...it doesn't really matter u know...well, my hair is naturally black but i had highlights..kind of yellowish brown too...and my hair is thick on the upper side and on the lower thinner...i can't really dye my hair any color i want..coz it won't work..my hair is just jet black..and i'm not allowed at school...and i have bangs also...xD

if you can i would tease it to make it big.. then comb the per layer of the teased hair so it does not look like a rats nest... only do this to the short layers of your hair... then you would flat iron the long layers needle flat.... if you really want to be emo get some crazy colors going on .

well i totally agree with this one...i mean i hate it when people make a big fuss over things but i also hate when people try to be something their just not. so my opinion is dont go completely out of your way just to fit in i mean im in the 'emo classification' if you wish, and honestly its not as cool as you think im in the biggest prep school in the world and i just dont fit in but its me so just be you...i think that would work better than anything...but if youre like me and have the time to do it then do it...well good luck with it

Go to a drugstore or Walmart and go to haircoloring. Look for aa straightner by the perm section it reallly works

well emo is just a style so really you can do anything you would like to it and if it looks emo to you then go for it it doesnt mean one style it can be any style

u could cut it short and start from there. just make sure the type of shampoo ur using doenst make ur hair thick. use the 1 that makes ur hair smooth, like wat girls use.
